16 March 2026 New Self-Service Leavers Process coming soon! We will soon be introducing a new self-service process within OneSource for resignations. Last year, late notification of leavers resulted in significant costs to the Council. This occurred because Payroll were not informed early enough by line managers to ensure final pay was accurate. To reduce this financial impact, we are introducing system changes that will streamline the leaver process. However, timely action from employees and managers remains essential. System Changes Due Late March / Early April Resignations can be submitted directly within the system, either by the employee or the line manager on behalf of an employee. Resignations will automatically flow to Payroll for processing. Our Ask Today We are asking for your support to ensure that employees and managers: Adheres to the resignation and leaver process promptly, whether using the current offline approach or the new online system once launched. Understand that late notification of leavers is not acceptable, given its financial impact. Encourage employees who are intending to resign, to complete the resignation steps as early as possible to minimise both debt and administrative burden.
