One Source - Changes are coming and these are the benefits to us!

We recently told you about some incoming changes with our One Source system and now, we're going to start sharing the benefits of these changes, for you.

First up, benefits around recruitment for our management teams - 

 

Benefits for Position Management

• Removes the current paper form that is required for new posts to be created. ​

• Information is collected once, directly in One Source.​

• Information gathered for new posts is available to approvers to make quick decisions. Even on mobile!​

• Structures team are now a validation step rather than an inputting team.​

• Once a post is approved through the approval process it is available in One Source for hiring through Oracle Recruiting Cloud immediately..​

• Trackable history for approvers and designed to keep the hiring experience moving and responsive to the council’s hiring needs.

• To allow the overall management and control multiple positions will need to be done individually – don’t worry anything over 5 systems team can support! (be worked through on Monday)

 

Benefits for our Candidates 

• Modern and responsive candidate experience, apply on any device, anywhere.​

• No need to create a profile, email address is all that is needed with a OTP sent each time a candidate logs on.​

• Applications saved every few seconds as candidates apply. Start on mobile finish on PC or Tablet.​

• Interview booking by self service.​

• Candidate status messages keep candidates up to date with application progress in the profile screen.​

• E-Signature for offers makes accepting an offer as easy as typing your name.​

• Internal candidates have a new connected way of applying directly from within One Source.

• Pre-hire journey gives candidates all they to know prior to starting.​

• Pre-hire journey collects information from candidates directly into One Source removing double keying.​

• Day One journey allows candidates to directly input Bank Details, HMRC New Starter Checklist, and other new hire tasks.​

 

Benefits for Requisition/Hiring Managers 

• Posts are available directly in Oracle Recruiting Cloud from One Source without delay.​

• Requisitions are quick and easy to create and update.​

• Information is shared across the system to make requisitions consistent, correct and easy to understand.​

• Seamless integration with WM Jobs to create adverts directly to the WM jobs website.​

• Information from posts is defaulted into the requisition to make hiring managers jobs even easier.

• Hiring managers can see the progress of candidates directly in the system without troubling Recruitment or Employment Services.​

• Automation of steps in the system ensures candidate move through as quickly as possible, reducing the time to hire.

• Line managers receive tasks to complete for the new hire, including confirmation of starting.​

• Probation journey ensures that notifications trigger automatically reminding line managers and new employees of the process and guiding them to information in One Source and internal Intranet sites.

Benefits for Professional Users/Offer Management 

• Offer Letters created directly within Oracle Recruiting Cloud using post information and offer details.​

• Reduction of Offer Letters from 10 to 7.​

• Offer Letters can be amended and attached to candidates (drag and drop) to send out bespoke offers.​

• Collect information when it is required, after interview hire information is requested digitally from candidates.​

• Documents that are collected from candidates are automatically moved to Document of Record.​

• Automation of steps in the system ensures candidate move through as quickly as possible, reducing the time to hire.
