Following previous communication about One Source Redwood Adoption Phase 2 One Source Redwood Adoption Phase 2 , we are planning to go live with the new Redwood experience for Purchase Order Receipting on Wednesday 28th October 2026.

One Source

Oracle are releasing Redwood, which is a change to their UI (user-interface) to modernise and improve user experience. You will notice a different look and feel across the Receiving screens. The new Redwood experience introduces a modern, more user-friendly interface designed to make Oracle easier to navigate and everyday tasks simpler to complete.

The Once Source Procurement screens will be unavailable from 5pm on Thursday 22nd October 2026 until 9am on Wednesday 28th October 2026 while the changes are implemented.

What you need to do

  • The last day to raise a Purchase Requisition (order) will be Thursday 22nd October 2026 2pm.
  • Purchase Requisitions will need to be approved by 5pm at the latest on Thursday 22nd October 2026. Any Purchase requisitions not approved by this deadline will not be processed until the system is back up and running on Wednesday 28th October 2026. It is the requisitioners responsibility to ensure approval has been actioned by the deadline for any urgent Purchase Orders.
  • For all Purchase Requisitions approved by 5pm will be processed as normal and Purchase Order generated.
  • All Purchase Order Receipting will need to be completed by 5pm on Thursday 22nd October 2026.
  • Ensure Purchase Order Receipting has been completed by 5pm on Thursday 22nd October 2026 if invoices are due for payment during the system downtime. Failure to Receipt Purchase Orders where there is an invoice due to be paid will result in non payment of invoice
  • No new supplier set-up or amendment requests will be processed in One Source during the downtime. New supplier e-form submissions and supplier amendment email requests can still be submitted as normal however, they will not be processed until the system is back up and running.

Please plan your work accordingly and ensure that any urgent purchasing and receiving activities are completed in advance where possible.

Further updates will be shared if there are any changes to the planned go-live date or system availability.

Training materials, including Quick Reference Guides and training videos, will be circulated via email. In addition, all supporting documentation will be made available on the intranet and One Source page in advance of the go-live date to allow sufficient time for review.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue to improve the Oracle user experience at Walsall Council.
