New OneSource Self-Service Leavers Process is Live!

We are pleased to confirm that the new self-service leavers (resignation) process is now live in OneSource.

As highlighted in our previous communication, late notification of leavers has previously resulted in significant costs to the Council due to delays in Payroll processing. This new process has been introduced to improve efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness — but it relies on prompt action from both employees and managers.

What’s changed?

Resignations can now be submitted directly within OneSource:

· Employees can submit their own resignation and managers will be responsible for approving this

· Line managers can submit a resignation on behalf of an employee

· All submissions will automatically flow to Payroll for processing

What you need to do

All employees and managers are now expected to:

· Use OneSource to submit resignations

· Ensure resignations are submitted as early as possible

· Take prompt action to avoid delays in processing

Late notification of leavers is not acceptable due to its financial and administrative impact. Timely submission is essential to ensure accurate final pay and to minimise unnecessary costs to the Council.

This process is to be used for resignations only. All other leavers are to be processed using the existing form.
