One Source - Changes are coming!

What’s happening?

As part of the One Source pledge for continuous improvement a health check has been carried out on the system and Walsall have been provided some recommendations on how to improve the system.

Whilst we can’t do everything in one go 3 key areas has been identified for change in this project:

  • Replacing Taleo recruitment system with Oracle Recruitment Cloud (ORC), this will see the decommissioning of Taleo and use more of the Oracle estate.
  • Changes to absence management, which will mean the removal of some of the customisation currently in place and will allow employees to see their own absence records.
  • Payroll reporting will have some changes to align Walsall to the new requirements.

When will we see the changes?

  • Absence and Payroll changes will take until 2024 to implement and work is on going to finalise plans and design.
  • Our first deliverable will be the ORC (Oracle Recruitment Cloud) which will go live November 2023
